Cindy L. Chandler-Eakin, 50, of Baker City, died Sept. 10, 2012, at her home.
There will be no funeral at this time. Her ashes will be buried later at Rock Creek Cemetery.
Cindy was born on Dec. 7, 1961, at Baker City to Patricia Serdy and Rodney Chandler.
Cindy lived at Portland for many years and came home in 2010 to be near family. Cindy was a loving wife and mother.
She enjoyed making others happy and was a very caring person. She loved the outdoors, camping, and was an avid fisherman. You could always find Cindy in her wheelchair with her husband, Bruce, fishing along the Powder River. She made many friends along the walkway on the river.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Chandler of Haines; and her grandparents, Adele and Lowell Chandler of Haines.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Eakin; her mother and stepdad, Patricia and Gene Reed of Baker City; sister and brother-in-law, Lorrie and Bill Harvey of Haines; sons, Nicholas Powell of Tualatin, Jonathan Powell of Eagle Creek and Daniel Powell of Vancouver, Wash.
