Tracy Raelynn Salsbury-Garrett, 54, died on September 18, 2014 at her home in Halfway, Oregon. Tracy was born on September 7, 1960 to Vern and Eldorase Ellen Hicks-Salsbury at St. Johns Hospital in Longview, Washington. The youngest of seven children, she was Vern's only child by blood. Tracy went to school in Kelso until middle/high school, then the family moved to Tacoma, Washington. She graduated high school, and then from Beauty School. She worked at a beauty salon with her sister Linda and Mother.

In her youth she loved to tap dance. She has lived in California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska, but has traveled many places. She worked mostly as a bartender/waitress. Tracy was married to John Johnson and they had a daughter Carly. Tracy met her future husband Brandon Garrett in Alaska, their courtship spanned 22 years, they had one son Vern. Tracy and Brandon married in Vancouver, Washington in 2003.

Tracy was very kind hearted, lovable, easy going, understanding, strong willed, open minded but opinionated, out spoken and very smart. She always tried to help everyone & she always took kids into her home and tried to help them to the best of her abilities. Tracy was a very big people person and knew many, many people, everywhere.
She loved her family, she loved crafts like making dream catchers and jewelry but had many talents and loved to travel. Tracy definitely never had a dull moment in her life, she lived it to the fullest.

Tracy was understanding, strong, gentle, kind soul with the "best stories." A friend shared "Top of Form

Tracy was a rare, wonderful soul. She loved everyone she met, and would give the shirt off her back to any person who was in need. She never judged, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. There is one less beautiful soul here on earth, now that she's gone. Rest in peace, Tracy. You will be immensely missed by all that knew you."

She was preceded in death by her parents Vern Salsbury and Ellen Baker-Cullom, step-father Ed (Bud) Cullom, her sister Linda Bailey-Williams & brother Steven Bailey.
