BOISE – Rosella Lue “Rosie” Pedracini, 79, of Granite, died Aug. 29 at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, surrounded by her family. A viewing was held Sept. 4, and funeral on Sept. 5, both at Gray’s West & Company Pioneer Chapel. Vault interment was at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Baker City.
Mrs. Pedracini and her twin sister, Ruthie, were born Sept. 10, 1934 in Wenatchee, Wash., to Duke and Gladys (Carroll) Phelps.
The family moved to Baker in 1945 where she attended school, met and married her life long partner, Don Pedracini, with whom she had four children.
In 1976, they moved to Granite, and turned their mountain cabin into a home and haven that would become the destination for their ever-expanding family to gather for years to come.
Children were always an important part of her life. Her philosophy of “the more the merrier” was exhibited by welcoming extended stays at the Granite cabin to all the children in her family, and by her career choice of driving school bus.
