Rosella Lue (Rosie) Pedracini, 79, of Granite, Ore., died August 29, 2014 at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho surrounded by her family. There will be a viewing for Rosie on Thursday, September 4, from 4-7 p.m. at Gray's West & Company Pioneer Chapel. Her funeral will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Gray's West & Company Pioneer Chapel. Vault internment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery with a reception following at the Baker City Elks Club. Rosie and her twin sister, Ruthie, were born September 10, 1934 in Wenatchee, Wash. The twins completed the family of Duke and Gladys (Carroll) Phelps and brother Jim. Rosie and her family moved to Baker in 1945 where she attended school, met and married her life long partner, Don Pedracini. This union was blessed with four children Jacque, Sami, Bob and Linda. Children were always an important part of Rosie's life and her philosophy of "the more the merrier" was exhibited by welcoming extended stays at the Granite cabin to all the children in her family, and by her career choice of driving school bus. In 1976, Rosie and Don moved to Granite and turned their mountain cabin into a home and haven that would become the destination for their ever expanding family to gather for years to come. Survivors of Rosie are Sami Pedracini of Baker City, son Bob and his wife Jodi of Fruitland, Idaho, grandsons Cody McConnell and wife Ann of Burns, Ore., Bob McConnell and wife Dee of John Day, Ore., Travis Mann and wife Jenny of Caldwell, Idaho, Tyson Pedracini and wife Sarah of La Grande, Ore., grand-daughters, Anne Gentry and husband Ryan of Ontario, Ore., Amber Pedracini of San Antonio, Tex., Marisa Ruda and husband Jeff of Payette, Idaho, Stephanie Schwartz of Fruitland, Idaho, Madison and Kimberly Pedracini, of Fruitland, Idaho. Her great grandchildren include, Teri and her husband Tyrel, Kayla, Hailey, Garrett, Joe, Jake, Abby, Ky, Fynlee, Tyleece, Brooks, Hayden and her great-great grandson Kholt. Rosie's twin sister Ruthie and her husband Bud Crim of Baker City, sister-in-law Silvia Phelps of Boise, Idaho, four nephews, two nieces and numerous great nieces and nephews. Rosie is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Don, daughters, Linda Pedracini, Jacque McConnell, grandson, Joe Mann, brother Jim Phelps, son-in-law Terry McConnell and niece Debbie Goss.
