Daniel Irvin Hunt, 70, passed away at his home in Klamath Falls on May 28, 2014. Dan had lived in Klamath Falls for the past 20 years after graduating from OIT with a degree in Information Systems Management. He died of metastatic cancer.
Dan was born January 16, 1944 in Boise, Idaho, the first son of Ross D. & Violet (Geddes) Hunt. He attended school in Lind, Wash., Walla Walla, Wash., and Baker, Ore.
Dan was known to be a hard worker and dedicated friend. He worked as a journeyman welder, mechanic, truck driver, grounds keeper and maintenance man. Dan was known for his strong opinions and kind heart. He was a member of the McEwen Masonic Lodge. His passions included golf, hunting, catfishing on the Snake River and cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Violet Hunt, and is survived by three brothers and their families: Eugene of Auburn, Wash.; Russel of Summerville, Ore.; and Robert.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday September 6, 2014 at the Baker City Eagles Club. Contributions in Dan’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
