Vina Lynn Cronk Graves, 98, of Vancouver, Wash., and a former Baker City resident, died July 21, 2001, at Vancouver. Her memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 2130 Fourth St. in Baker City. Disposition was by cremation. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Graves was born July 25, 1902, at Ord, Neb. Her family settled at Emmett, Idaho, in 1906, and she grew up there. She was a school teacher at Lookingglass for two years and a homemaker, teacher and school volunteer for 40 years in Idaho. She was married to Kent W. Graves in 1926, and was the mother of two daughters. She lived in Baker City for a number of years. She had lived with her daughter, Loreta Wood, at Vancouver since 1984. Mrs. Graves is survived by her daughter, Loreta Wood, of Vancouver; her granddaughters, Wendy Ricks and Kelley Heizer; five great-grandsons; a brother, E. Merrill Cronk of Bremerton, Wash., one of her 13 brothers and sisters; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Coleen Phillips.
