Delana Allen, 93, of Prairie City, died Oct. 17 at Blue Mountain Nursing Home. A private service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Los Angeles. Mrs. Allen was born Feb. 10, 1919, in Little Rock, Ark., to Marion and Frances (Evans) Brixey. She enjoyed cooking, flying airplanes, nursing, fishing, bingo, church, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Survivors include her daughter, Jessie Elliott of John Day; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five sisters; two brothers; her husband Naud Franklin; son Paul Gasaway; granddaughter Kayse Elliott; and great-grandson Jeremy John Elliott.
