Howard Steven “Steve” Humphries passed away April 28, 2014 at Meadowbrook Place in Baker City Oregon with his wife Leanne by his side. A Graveside Celebration of Steve’s Life with Military Auspices will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Mt. Hope Cemetery at11:00. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception to be held immediately following at the Bull Ridge Conference Room (upstairs-elevator is available) Steve was born October 25, 1938 in Bozeman, Montana to Ruby (Fuller) and Isaac Humphries. He moved to Baker City in 1941 and graduated from Baker High School in 1957. He worked many years for Phillips Long Ford and Gentry Ford. Steve entered the Army October 3, 1961 and served in Germany as a mechanic, he was honorably discharged in 1963. In 1964 he married Carol Christopher and had 5 children. They later divorced in 1980. In 1996 he found love again and married Leanne Boulton Herrmann. Throughout Steve’s life he was able to live all over the country including West Yellowstone, Montana, Rockaway, Richland and Halfway Oregon before he returned to Baker City in 1979. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, hunting, and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruby Fuller and Isaac Humphries, brothers Willard, Hershal, Marshall and Dick; sister Bonita. Steve is survived by his wife Leanne of Baker City Oregon; sons Jerry of Texas , Steven and his wife Tracy of Baker City, Ike and wife Tiffany of Missouri Daughters Ann Conyers and husband Dewey of New Mexico and Brenda and husband George Wells of Texas. Brothers Clifford and his wife Millie of Eugene Oregon, Carl and Beryl of Creswell Oregon and Bob and his wife Sherri of Antioch, California; , Step children Julie Ingalls and husband Casey of Meridian, Idaho, Jennifer Herrmann of Baker City, Dustin Herrmann and his wife Shannon of Toledo, Oregon; 26 grandchildren and 16 Great grandchildren.
