SELLS, Susan Marie

Susan Spence-Sells Phoenix, Ariz., 1964-2014 Susan Marie Spence-Sells, 39, a former Haines-area resident, died Jan. 31, 2014, at Phoenix, Ariz., after a short illness. The family is planning a celebration of life memorial service for Susan in the late spring in the Haines area. Final plans will be announced to friends later. Susan was born on Dec. 5, 1964. She was a warmhearted, kind and caring person whom the family dearly loved and will sincerely miss. She and her husband, Jim, spent most of their married life in western Oregon, but in recent years had been traveling to Arizona in the winters. They enjoyed their winters in the warmer state, where they also carried on a number of commercial projects. Susan spent her early life on the farms of the Spence family in the Rock Creek area near Haines and was a Baker High School graduate. Survivors include her husband, James Lowell Sells; her son, James Joseph Sells, and a grandson, Jaylyn James Sells; sister, Mary Jo Lovelace; brother, Kemet Spence; and numerous nieces and nephews. bakercityherald.com 7 March 2014
