DAVIS, Bruce Oliver


Bruce Davis Baker City, 1963-2014 Bruce Oliver Davis, 50, of Baker City, died Feb. 6, 2014, at his home. His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, First and Church streets. Father Robert Greiner will officiate. The Correctional Officer Honor Guard will provide honors. Bruce was born on June 18, 1963, at Cirencester, England, to Billy Davis and Patricia Darling Davis. He was a graduate of West Seattle High and decided he wanted to do something in law enforcement. He was proud of the fact that he became a correctional officer and worked for the Powder River Correctional Institute. Bruce met and later married Emma Davis on June 4, 1990, while they were in the Phillipines. Emma and Bruce have two children, Treavor and Emily. The family will miss Bruce and loved him very much. Bruce loved the outdoors and enjoyed going fishing, hunting and camping. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was on the Baker County Search and Rescue dive team. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Emma Davis; a son, Trevor Davis of Corvallis; and a daughter, Emily Davis of Corvallis. Gray’s West & Co. is in charge of arrangements.
