LAFAYETTE, Colo. – Betty Louise “Bettylu” Bentley, 77, formerly of John Day, died Feb. 11 in Lafayette, Colo. A family service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Bentley was born March 24, 1935, in Emmett, Idaho, to Sylvester and Nellie Lickteig. On July 24, 1952, she married Thomas F. Bentley in Emmett, Idaho. In 1975, they began their own business, Ye Olde Print Shop, out of their home in “mobile city” in John Day. She enjoyed gardening and reading, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her daughters, Valinda Speakman of Boise and Anna Mundorf of Ayr, Neb.; son, Bill Bentley of Lafayette; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Wander of Weiser, Idaho, and Ethyl Bentley of Emmett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Bentley; and daughters, Patricia Ann Bentley and Debra Louise (Bentley) West. bluemountaineagle.com 12 March 2013
