Carol Bernice Hyder, 64, died Feb. 28 in Monument. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Monument Cemetery.
Mrs. Hyder was born Dec. 25, 1948, in Burley, Idaho, to Don and Jennie Ann (Schell) Rodden.
On June 12, 1970, she married Ronald Hyder in Mt. Vernon.
She was a homemaker, and loved scrapbooking, knitting, embroidery and Bunco. An active member of the community, she was a member of the booster club, the city council and did volunteer work at Monument School.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Hyder; daughters, Kristina Gienger of Prineville and Dawn Rhinehart of Eatonville, Wash.; and seven grandchildren, Jacob Castro, Erica Gienger, Cade Gienger, Alexandrea Hyder, Shado Rhinehart, Jade Rhinehart and Katie Reed.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Rodden.
