Blair Haycock Carpenter, 76, longtime John Day resident, died Sept. 3 at his home.

Mr. Carpenter was born in Cedar City, Utah, to Frank Gould and Irene (Haycock) Carpenter.

A funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, with Blaine Huffman officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Rest Lawn Cemetery in John Day.

Arrangements are under the care of Driskill Memorial Chapel, 241 S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, OR 97845.
