bluemountaineagle.com 28 August 2012 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Thomas LaVerne Kennedy, 42, formerly of Prairie City, died July 31 in Phoenix, Ariz. A celebration of life dinner will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Strawberry Grange Hall in Prairie City. Mr. Kennedy was born July 14, 1970, in Prairie City, to Dean and Twila Kennedy. He worked in the auto industry for many years. Survivors include his mother, Twila; stepfather, Jim Daniels; daughter, Taylor Kennedy of Phoenix; sisters, Tonya Kennedy, Tammy Danely, Lucretia Daniels and Aaron Gonzales; grandmother, Darlene Hammack; uncle Kelly Haskins and his children, Josh Haskins and Christina Wilson; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Phoenix and Orion Kennedy, and Jordan and Adan Daniels; several cousins in Grant County; aunts and uncles in the La Grande and Elgin areas; and longtime girlfriend, Jane Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Kennedy; and grandmother, Peggy Kennedy of Elgin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Prineville Vet Clinic in care of Rhett Schultz, 350 N.E. Hickey Farms, Prineville, OR 97754.
