Jane Treanor, 66, of Baker City went to be with the Lord on Saturday Jan. 12, 2013, after a five year courageous battle with cancer, her family was by her side. A Celebration of her life was held on Wednesday Jan. 16, 1 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Baker City. Internment followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Eula Jane Parker was born on July 29, 1946 in Baker City to Dick and Inelda Parker. Jane grew up and attended school in Baker City. She met the love of her life, Claude Treanor and the two were married on her 17th birthday in 1963. They shared 49 ½ years of marriage and raised two children in Baker City.
Jane loved life and everyone she shared it with. Her family and friends will cherish the memories of camping, fishing, horseback riding, hunting, and just sitting and visiting. Her grandchildren were even able to get her on a roller coaster or two in Disneyland. The most important thing to her was her family and her faith in Jesus Christ. She had a love for animals, especially horses, and she passed that down to her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. She loved, and she was loved.
Jane is survived by her husband, Claude Treanor; son Rick Treanor and wife Maria of Baker City, Ore.; daughter Sheila Hill and husband Elmer of Baker City, Ore.; grandchildren Kevin, Rebekah, and Mikaylah Treanor and Kristen Hill, Shelby Page and husband Shane; brothers Joe and Ron Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, sister Donna Hancock, two granddaughters Emily and Katie Hill, and niece Laura Reed.
