TODAHL, Rita Belle

bluemountaineagle.com 21 August 2012 MICHIGAN – Rita Belle Todahl, 80, of Canyon City, died Aug. 13, at Serenity House Adult Foster Care Home. Mrs. Todahl was born March 1, 1932, in Superior, Wisc. In the 1960s she single-handedly drove her family from Wisconsin to Oregon, then worked while attending nursing school and raising her children. As a nurse, she was often commended for her compassion and willingness to help others in times of need. Alzheimer’s took her memory, but not her concern for others. Survivors include her daughter Julie Bullock of Canyon City; sons Bruce Roy and Michael Roy, and families, of Oregon; several grandchildren, including Robby, Lindsay and Caitlin Bullock. She was preceded in death by her daughter Penny Todahl; and sons Matthew Todahl and Steven Roy. Arrangements are under the care of Driskill Memorial Chapel, 241 S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, OR 97845.
