FRANKE, Patricia Dolores


The Record-Courier 14 Jan 2013 Patricia Dolores (Fyvie/DeLizo) Franke. Born Jan. 9, 1940, in Amsterdam, New York and departed Jan. 2, 2013, in Boise, Idaho, at the age of 72 years. She met Jerry at Amarillo AFB Texas, where they both served in the U.S. Air Force, and married him on July 2, 1964. She served from July 29, 1958, until her honorable discharge on Sept. 24, 1964. Pat was a firm believer in “The Song of Ruth,” “whither thou goest…., where thou lodgest…. thy people shall be my people….” She embraced his family and followed Jerry half way around the world for the next 49 years. First to Portland, Ore., in 1965; to England in 1967; to Irrigon, Ore., in 1970 while Jerry was stationed in Alaska; back to England in 1971; to Turkey in 1973; back to Texas in 1976; back to Irrigon in 1980; and to Hereford, Ore., in 1993 where they lived until she passed away. She created a home at each stop along the way. She epitomize what God intended when he created “an help meet” and left a hole in our lives when she departed. She is survived by her husband Jerry of Hereford; her son Curtis Franke and his wife Charlene of Stanfield, Ore.; her daughter Ramona Franke of Stanfield; her sister Bonny Panas and her husband Bruce of The Villages, Fla.; her sister, Marguerite Karanjia and her husband, Nariman of Sherwood Ore.; her adopted granddaughters, Brittany and Trisha Franke; plus multiple nieces, nephews and in-laws. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston, Ore. Burial will follow at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Irrigon, Ore.
