SKIDGEL, Robert "Steve"

The Record-Courier 20 Dec 2012 Robert “Steve” Skidgel, 80, of Baker City died Dec. 6, 2012. No service is planned at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mr. Skidgel was born June 13, 1932, in Glencoe, Okla. He served in the Navy and was self-employed as a logger in Central Oregon. Later, he owned property in the John Day area and then moved to Granite, Ore. He was active in the mining industry. He married Bonnie Burgess in 1992 at Reno, Nev. Bonnie died September 2001. Robert then married Edna Knapp in Canyon City June 2002. He is survived by his wife, Edna M. Skidgel; daughter, Kelly Elliott and her husband Jeff of Klamath Falls; and eight grandchildren.
