WEST, Joy Lee

bluemountaineagle.com 2 Jan 2013 Jody Lee West, 54, died Dec. 20, in John Day. A celebration of life will be held in early summer 2013. Mr. West was born Oct. 13, 1958, in Wheeler, to Francis and Irene (Balsiger) West. He graduated from Long Creek High School. On Jan. 13, 1976, he married Linda Dennis in Walla Walla, Wash. He was employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and spending time with family. Survivors include his wife, Linda West of John Day; son, Chris (Amy) West of Pendleton; daughter, Michelle Rand of John Day; son-in-law, Damon Rand of John Day; and grandchildren, Caleb Rand, Kendall West and Raeghan West. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Fran and Irene West; nephew, Keith Vaughan; and sister, Frankie Uchimura. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice through Driskill Memorial Chapel, 241 S. Canyon Blvd., John Day, OR 97845.
