Alyce Deloris Jenison, 80, of Dayville, died July 30 at Blue Mountain Hospital.
Mrs. Jenison was born May 20, 1932, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Forrest D. and Naome E. Jackson. She graduated from Vancouver High School in 1949.

On June 4, 1962, she married Delbert Jenison in Skamania County, Wash.
She was the Dayville postmaster for 20 years, before retiring on Oct. 1, 1992. She enjoyed taking care of her yard and flowers, in which she took great pride. She was also an avid seam seamstress, and enjoyed needlepoint and embroidery, while she was able.
Survivors include her son, Darin (Rhonda) Jenison of Canyon City; daughter, Jeri (Curry) and husband Grover Lewis of Inverness, Fla.; granddaughters, Samantha Lewis-Ott of Orlando, Fla., and Heather Lewis of Inverness; and stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Miller and Daxton Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert “Ole” Jenison.
