Death of Mrs. H. B. Griffin The Sumpter miner, April 4, 1900 The East Oregonian of Monday says of the funeral at Pendleton of Mrs. H. B. Griffin who died here Saturday of pneumonia, a lady highly esteemed by all who knew her: 'At 2 o'clock this afternoon, the funeral services over the remains of Mrs. H. B. Griffin were conducted at the Church of the Redeemer by the rector, Rev. W. e. Potwine. The usual services of the Protestant Episcopal church was read by the clergyman. Numerous friends of the family attended. The body of Mrs. Griffin was brought to Pendleton from Sumpter, where Mrs. Griffin died Saturday night. Accompanying the remains, Mr. and Mrs. Frank B. Clopton and Mr. H. B. Griffin, husband of the deceased, arrived this morning on the Overland. The body was laid to the rest in the Olney cemetery.
