A funeral service was held Tuesday, July 24, at Redmond Memorial Chapel in Redmond, with burial in Terrebonne. HOUSE: OnlyAg.com in-article House ad: Northwest Opinions website - in article ad - ros Mr. Davis was born Feb. 7, 1942, in Oakland, Calif., to Leroy D. and Florence N. (Cook) Davis. He and his family moved to Seneca when he was 2 years old. As a child he grew up in a logging camp, enjoying hunting and fishing. At 17, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving four years. In 1965, he married RoseAnn Abbott in California. A year later, he joined the Steamfitters Local 342. He went on to help build such things as refineries, sewage treatment plants, glass plants, chemical plants and dams. He returned to school, receiving an AA degree in electronics and was hired at Lockheed, working on the Hubble telescope and the guiding system for the Patriot missile project. After retiring to Redmond in 1990, Davis and his wife enjoyed traveling the world. Survivors include his wife of 47 years; sons Brent of California and Lyle of Maryland; two sisters; one brother; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
