DEATH OF MRS. COUTY
The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Couty, who has been quite feeble for some time past, occured at the home of her son, Joseph, on last Sunday, Dec. 27th. The funeral was held on Wednesday, J. C. Bowen, of New Bridge, conducting the services in the absence of an official of the Catholic church.
Elizabeth Ferguson was born at Plattsville, New York, in the year 1841; in June 1862, she was united in marriage to Louis Couty, whose death occured several years ago. To this union were born ten children, seven of which are still living, viz: Joseph Couty, Mrs. Louisa Engum and Mrs. Armina Olson, all residents of Richland; Israel Couty, of Marshfield, Wis., Alex Couty, of Mitadore, Wis., Benjamin Couty, address unknown, and Mrs. Mary Jensen, of Amherst, Wis. The deceased also leaves two sisters to mourn her demise, Mrs. M. J. Simonis and Mrs. I. N. Young.
Mrs. Couty had been a resident of Eagle Valley for several years past and had a large circle of friends, and the bereaved relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.
