Margaret Ann Beamer Reddekopp, 79, of John Day, died May 29 at Valley View Assisted Living. A graveside service was held June 5 at Canyon City Cemetery. Rev. Eric Bartell officiated.
Mrs. Reddekopp was born Aug. 26, 1932, in Cleveland, to Russell and Thelma Freeland. She attended Catholic school in Cleveland.

On March 23, 1969, she married Roy H. Beamer in Las Vegas. She married Donald Reddekopp in Mt. Vernon; they divorced.
She was a housewife, and manager of the Sunset Inn in John Day. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting; playing bingo, poker and lottery scratch-offs. She also enjoyed working, and volunteered at the senior center, the schools, and the John Day Elks Lodge, where she was a member.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Givens of Ohio and Jesse Davis of North Carolina; daughters, DeAnn Beamer of Santa Clara. Calif., and Kelie Beamer of McMinnville; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy, in 1990; daughter, Karen Boone; brothers, Russell Freeland and Edward Freeland; and sister, Phylis Doremus.
